Last month Norwich City Football Club hosted their annual staff party and invited me along to paint. It is such a great party, full of fabulous food, families, fun and of course, face painting!
I painted for them at their summer party last year and was delighted to be asked back again this year to paint the faces of the staff and their families.
Below are some of my favourites from the day, I hope you like them too.
The summer holidays are in full swing, which can only mean one thing... we’re back at Southwold Maize Maze!
This year you will find us face painting in the picnic area 10-4pm every Tuesday throughout the summer holidays.
The Maize maze is a fantastic day out and this year they have added a second jumping pillow and two zip wires! There are two Maizes to find you way through, go karts, sandpits and fantastic wooden play equipment. The cafe has its usual salads, rolls and paninis and this year they’ve added local sausage hot dogs to the menu, which look delicious!
Above are a few of the faces we have painted so far this Summer at the Maize Maze!!
This year was my third year face painting at the Royal Norfolk Show for Canaries Official. It’s such a fantastic two days, I’m always super busy and I love seeing people return each year who have come to find me especially to have their faces painted. I got my annual picture with Captain Canary so I was happy!
It’s always so busy and a rarely get a chance to take any pictures. But with this blog in mind, I made sure I stopped to take a few pics of my favourite paints over the two days.
I love the Norwich City Football Club gang, they work so hard for the fans to give them a great experience at all he events they run and I always feel really proud to be a part of it. So here’s to next years Royal Norfolk Show and many fun times in between
Hallee’s Party was a glittertastic one. I arrived at her house to lots of excited girls ready to be sparkled so I set up my station straight away and got started.
The party had a festival/fete theme. With a bouncy castle, candy floss machine, slushy machine, a hot tub and myself and a nail bar. The girls all had flower headbands and it wasn’t long before one of them asked for a unicorn! So the theme of unicorns and mermaids soon took off and almost all ended up as one of the two!
Hallee had a really cool unicorn flower headband. She wanted glitter on her face and a mermaid themed design on her chest. I also created a fishtail braid for her for ultimate mermaid vibes!
used a range of chunky and biodegradable glitters as well as stick on gems. Some of the girls just wanted glitter, some face paint and glitter on the face and some wanted body art. Although a theme began I always like to make each design a bit different by changing the glitter colour or pattern that I do slightly.
I loved creating these braids for Hallee’s friends. Fishtails are such a fun braid to do and they look so good!
This cute pink kitty was really fun to do and the only design that really differed from the other designs. I love creating all different kinds of face paint designs so when someone wants something different to the rest it’s always fun for me. Just look at those glittery cat ears!
The Norfolk ‘GoGo Hare’ trail is well under way, with thousands of tags already across social media, selfies with the Hares, sticker collections growing and days out to find favourites, everyone’s gone hopping made for it!
There is one in particular that I am very fond of and this is why.....
A few weeks ago I got to join in the 25th year anniversary celebrations with Anglia Freight.
The company have sponsored the Go Go Hare ‘Captain Jack Rabbit’ which was designed with Norfolk’s naval history in mind. Our costal towns were a traditional haunt of smugglers and pirates and at this party, so was Mid Suffolk Business Park!
You can see Captain Jack Rabbit situated at St James Mill, Whitefriars, Norwich. He even has his own Twitter account @captjackrab so be sure to tag him in any selfies you take with him, as the gang at Anglia Freight would love to see them!
The company put on an amazing party for their staff. There was a bouncy castle, Hog roast, singers, children’s entertainment, an awards ceremony, a complimentary drinks bar and of course face painting!
Geoff, or should I say Captain Moulton, founded Anglia Freight 25 years ago and it is now a family run business with a strong set of values, where peace of mind, loyalty, innovation and exceptional service are at the top of their priority list. The managing directors clearly value their staff and the party was a true celebration of the company and the whole team within in it.
It was such a pleasure to meet everyone and join in the celebrations. I’m looking forward to next year already!
Last Monday I spent the afternoon painting faces at the Wild Duck holiday park in Belsted. The sun was out and the park was full of happy holiday makers. As soon as I was set up the children ran over and asked how much it was and what they can have! I love this question because my answer is usually the same, “it’s free and you can be whatever you want to be” They love this answer and run off to find an adult to ask if it’s ok for them to get it done.
The sun was shining and the outdoor pool was open so I was a bit concerned I was going to be quiet. But the crowd didn’t disappoint and I was busy the whole time I was there. Below are some of the faces and arm art I created on the day. I love doing the graffiti arms but I’d have to say the rainbow butterfly was my favourite of the day. Have a look through the gallery below and let me know your favourite!
Early last month I was lucky enough to be asked to go to Flora’s birthday celebrations and do a ‘make up’ party for her and her friends. By ‘make up’ what I mean is face paint, that’s refered to as lipstick, blusher and eye shadow to all that attend the party. All that ‘make up’ teamed with some sparkles and extra special gems made for some very excited girls!
The Birthday girl, pictured above, went first. She chose her bling from a selection of hand made gem pieces. Next she chose her glitter and colour scheme, it was of course pink! flora was so excited and she help me to set up and showed all her friends to their seats and decided what order they would all go in. She was very helpful and with her help my job was made all the easier!
Below are pictures of some of Flora’s friends that cake to her party. They all loved the unique gem pieces and enjoyed picking one out to match their outfits or just because they liked the colour. Everyone of course had lipstick and a few wanted blusher and eye make up too.
These photos were all taken before the ice cream cake out!!
so, a big thank you to Flora for having me at her party and for all her help during the celebrations. I hope to sparkle you and your friends again sometime! ✨
I first met Victoria and her family last year at her Dad’s 70th Birthday celebrations. It was a fab birthday party and the whole family were so welcoming and fun to be around. So, when Victoria got in touch about booking me to come and glitter her guests at her 40th Birthday celebrations I was delighted.
This family know how to throw a party. The attention to detail is incredible and they are amazing hosts. I was blown away by the garden transformation. They turned their garden into a super sparkly setting, with a festival ‘vIP area’ vibe. There were chill out areas, glitter background, fairy light walls, a fire pit and they even built a bar especially for the night.
My glitter station looked perfect alongside all the sparkles and I was located infront of a fairy light wall which, when it got dark, made the perfect backdrop for my set up.
I arrived early on the night to do Victoria’s make up and then sparkle her up to the max. She looked fabulous and her sparkly shoes were amazing so I had to include a picture of those for you to see!
Once Victoria was ready, I started to sparkle her guests. Everyone was dressed in ‘glitz and glam’ and I was there to add the glitter! Below are a few faces from the night
I love my clients and I love it when I get to see them again and again. Victoria and her family are among my favourite and I want to wish her the happiest of Birthdays and say a big thank you for asking me to be a part of your celebrations.
Earlier this month I had the pleasure of working for the Covent Garden Soup Company as they set up a travelling kitchen on the Aldeburgh sea front.
They were giving away tasters of their summer soup (which I also had the pleasure of tasting) and photographing passes by in their giant deckchair and seaside scene, cut out boards.
Two photographers, (who were the nicest guys and such a pleasure to work alongside) were there taking the photos and then immediately printing them out onto postcards!
So before customers had their photos taken, or while they waited for their photo to print, they could have a face paint with me! I set up alongside the photographers and watched them work their magic. The instant photo postcard was absolutely brilliant and people could also recieve a digital copy of the image by leaving their email address.
a cute mermaid I painted on someone's arm...
a seaside inspired floral design...
Here I am enjoying the summer soup, sweet potato and beans! Guys, soup is for life not just winter!!
It was a fabulous day, there were lots of people around and the sun was shining down on us for the whole day. I would absolutely love to work with this team again, it was one of the most enjoyable days of painting I've ever had.
During the celebrations for the Queen last week, one local village hosted a street party and talent show. The lovely Iris was gong to be performing in the show with a mix of dance and gymnastics so I offered to paint her face to give her that extra wow factor! Iris was going to be wearing a silver and black leotard, so I created this bold blingeye design to match. I used professional face paint, Gems and cosmetic glitter to make Iris sparkle and shine!
