Sunday was the very first Henham Park Festival of Running. The event was completely sold out and runners came from all over the county to run in the beautiful surroundings of the Henham Park Estate, home to Latitude Festival. There was a 10k, 5k and 1k (which loads of children took part in)!
I was face painting on behalf of Emily’s Entertainment and it was an great gig. I was busy painting away all day so I only managed to get a few pictures early on. Once registration opened at 9:30am the runners and their friends and family’s kept me very busy so there was no time for photos!
There was a bar and singers to entertain everyone, as well as face painting and plenty of food stalls, (I had a wrap from the wrap bar for my lunch and it was delicious)!
It was a great event, really well supported and everyone was in a great mood and ready to run in the sun!
in compete contrast to the last bank holiday at the Pier, this weekend was a wet and windy one! But that didn’t stop you guys coming out. Wellies, hats, gloves, coats, umbrellas at the ready, you braved the weather and made it another great weekend. This time we were based in the Beach Cafe and got to sample some of the lovely dishes on their new menu which was a added bonus!
We were face painting and doing glitter tattoos all weekend. I hoped I’d be doing lots of Avengers faces due to the new movie and you guys didn’t disappoint. I painted a Spider-Man and Iron-Man and created an Iron-Man glitter tattoo too!
On Sunday and Monday we added our Slime Station and you guys loved it! You made some amazing slimes and did some of the best bubbles I’ve ever seen!
Next time you are in the Bistro, grab some chalks and check out the brand new colouring wall. You can colour in the sea creatures and add some of your own! Be sure to tag #southwoldpier in your creations
We will be back at the Pier this summer! Every Monday in the holidays we will be there to fill your day with some colour and fun, offering face painting, hair braiding, glitter tattoos and slime!
