East of England Coop Healthcare Roadshow

Today I painted for the East of England Coop. They were running a healthcare roadshow in Ipswich Town centre. Their pharmacy team were offering advice about blood pressure, flu vaccinations, travel vaccinations and medicines, health eating, weight management, stop smoking services and sexual health.

Their hearing specialists were carrying out free hearing tests and customers also had the opportunity to find out more information about the Coop's optical services. I received some professional advice about cosmetic lenses, which I am planning on wearing for Halloween!!

There was the opportunity to sign up as a member (with a fabulous goody bag if you did) and to enter a competition to win a health spa day for two, worth over £200 , (which of course, I entered)!!

While this was all going on for the adults, I was there to offer complimentary face painting on behalf of the Coop, for the children. Lots of little ones were excited to get their faces done and many of them chose to have a Halloween face in preparation for Saturday's celebrations. As well as the usual butterflies and tigers, I painted lots of zombies, vampires, a Frankenstein's monster, a devil and a spooky Spider-Man!

It was cold wet and windy, but despite the horrible weather, lots of current and new coop members came along to experience what the roadshow had to offer, which was a lot!


I was really busy so I didn't get many photos, I wish I'd taken one of the devil, as it's the first time I'd ever painted one! Below are a couple I did manage to snap, a blue and red spider man and Venom and a pretty bat face....

The next healthcare roadshow run by the Coop is on Tuesday the 3rd November at the Coop store, Saxmundham Road, Aldeburugh. I highly recommend going along to talk to the professional about your health care needs and to enter the spa day competition... You may even get a free apple too!
