6/6/2016 0 Comments A Sunday in SouthwoldYesterday the sun was shining on Southwold pier and loads of children and their families came out to enjoy the last day of the half term. I spent the day in the beach cafe, offering complimentary face painting provided by the pier to the public. The pier has such a fabulous atmosphere and I have never seen a team of staff work so well together and so hard! So to be a part of that, is a real honour! . I set my paints up and then, like most gigs I attend, I painted my own face and popped outside for a selfie! It was sunny but breezy down at the seafront, hence the windswept look... I was really happy when the first two children I painted were two sisters that I hadn't seen for ages. As well as face painting, the pier were providing a Punch and Judy show on the seafront. There were three shows the light the afternoon and each one had a huge amount of viewers. When the Punch and Judy shows were on, my queue was non existent, so I used that time to paint an octopus on my arm and pop out for a photo of it with the sea behind it! octopi then became quite popular with the public, which was great, as I discovered they are really fun to paint! butterflies and florals were also a popular choice.... Another popular design, for both the face and arm, was a mermaid. I painted lots but only managed to take a photo of one..... I love painting mermaids as its a perfect opportunity to use my shimmer colours! I had a fab day at the pier and I will be back there at the end of July offering complimentary face painting. Come and see us, rain or shine!!
