Of course, for me, this had to be in the form of a Bowie inspired face paint or two! The first paint I did was inspired by Bowie's roll as Jareth the Goblin King in the 80s movie Labyrinth. The Labyrinth is one of my favourites, I have seen it so many times and more recently I had the pleasure of introducing it to my 7 year old, who loved it just as much as I did when I was young. If you haven't seen it then you really must!! Above is a look inspired by probably the most famous Bowie look, the Aladdin Sane album cover. Various versions of this have been all over my news feed as lots of my fellow face painter friends have recreated the look. It's definitely an image that a lot of people are familiar with and can recognise.
I thoroughly enjoyed recreating these looks and felt a little bit better for painting them. I will leave you with a quote from one of my favourite Bowie llyrics, taken from a song he wrote for the movie, Labyrinth.
